Veterans Suicide ~ America’s Tragedy

The suicide rate among veterans is staggering. An estimated 22 veterans commit suicide in the United States EVERY DAY according to a recent study done by the Department of Veterans Affairs made public on February 1, 2013.

Lance Corporal Jeffrey Michael Lucey served in the Marine Corps during Operation Iraqi Freedom. He returned home a different man- forever changed by war due to PTSD and a failed system. Jeff succumbed to those hidden wounds by suicide. This film shares the heartbreaking stories of four families and their sons painful journey which led them to committing suicide. They agreed to share their stories with the hope of helping others and preventing more suicides.

The Families ~ WWII to Iraq & Afghanistan Wars

Often overlooked, the families of veterans suffer tremendously while trying to understand and find help for sons and daughters fighting the invisible wounds of war- a battle of a different kind.

In this film, we meet families of men and women who served in Iraq and Afghanistan as well as daughters of WWII and Vietnam War veterans, who share stories about their fathers’ return home, detailing the effects of their hidden wounds on the entire family.
